Kew-Style Room
Miss Houlston has a lovely three-bed semi with the typical ground floor layout of a lounge and separate kitchen diner. As she likes to cook, entertain, and loves her garden, she wanted to increase the kitchen/diner area. She also hoped to add lots of light into what was a fairly dark space and make her kitchen and garden feel as one.
We designed a KEW style room for her with the addition of a large solar-powered VELUX rooflight. The room was accompanied by a set of beautiful bi-folding sliding doors with a roof height glass panel above that would literally flood the room with natural light. We worked with Angela on her kitchen project and fitted a lovely contemporary design incorporating anthracite grey units with copper handles and splashbacks. As you can see from the photo’s, she has really made the space her own with some vibrant splashes of colour, and as you can see from her comments, she has achieved precisely what she wanted from her new Oliver James kitchen extension.
