Transforming An Unusable Conservatory

Maximising Property Potential

Mr and Mrs Rousseau, like many of our clients, had been living with a traditional conservatory when we first met with them. The room was effectively unusable because of the extreme heat and cold depending on the season. They found that the conservatory had become impossible to keep at a steady temperature, meaning that they had all of this valuable living space which was being wasted down to a poor original design.

What Did Oliver James Achieve?

As always, we spent time assessing the client’s home before putting together a plan of action. Their kitchen was a reasonable size and had lots of potential, but the addition of their conservatory meant that the room was starved of light. This made the kitchen seem far smaller than it actually was so with a few adjustments, we knew that we could really open the space up.

With this in mind, we created a stunning new room for Mr and Mrs Rousseau, including a striking floor to ceiling window and a beautiful set of bi-folding sliding doors. As well as this, two remote controlled Velux roof windows were installed, allowing an abundance of natural light to stream in and create a spacious atmosphere. Through removing the existing rear wall of the property, we were able to bring the kitchen and new extension together into what is now a fabulous new space!
